Midwest Salon Solutions is an Illinois distributor of beauty industry salon products. It was founded in 2005 by Vince D’Astice and Bill Paganis.

Both Vince and Bill are industry professionals. They both have extensive, first hand knowledge of your ever-changing creative field.

Vince began his career as a Licensed Cosmetologist. He has since added Salon Owner, President and Past President of Cosmetologists Chicago, Chairperson of the Chicago Midwest Beauty Show and Styling Consultant for American Airlines to his personal history.

Vince continues to create great looks for new and long time loyal clients. It is Vince's entrepreneurial spirit that lead him to join with Bill to create Midwest Salon Solutions, a distributor run by creative professionals for creative professionals.

Bill began his career as a Licensed Cosmetologist. Bill is a Salon Owner and Platform Artist. He has always been dedicated to making industry education as strong as possible. This passion lead him to be a Founding Partner of Hair Knowledge+ (a leading educational company in Illinois).

To provide salons with individual attention and solutions that will enable them to take back control of their business, minimizing expenses and increasing profitability.


Midwest Salon Solutions Goals are to:

Understand the needs of salons, based on real time knowledge of the salon industry. MSS founders and team partners all have strong backgrounds from within the salon environment. We believe our unique industry background in conjunction with our core values will help us generate exceptional customer relations with you, the salon owner.

Seek out and develop relationships with independent boutique style manufacturers who also have strong backgrounds from within the salon environment, such as Chromastics, a hair color line developed by Tom Dispenza. Tom is one of the leading experts in hair color education and along with his business partner Peter Ciotti still spend real time in the salon.

Never pursue unrealistic growth, which many times leads to duplication of products, shelf clutter, short term deep discounting, diversion and poor customer relations.


What you can expect from Midwest Salon Solutions:

Quarterly awareness breakfast meetings. We will meet outside of the salon with the salon owner / manager. Communication is the key to success!

Salon visits as necessary by appointment only. Our team members will never interrupt your salon environment during normal business hours. Most business can be conducted via e-mail, phone or fax.

Quarterly Theatre style presentations and hands on workshops within Illinois and presented by Tom Dispenza. Presentations are free to MSS partner accounts.

New accounts will receive tuition paid for 1 at the Chromastics training center in Soho, New York. This is a 2-day class covering Highlighting techniques, Reds, Blondes, Brunettes, Grey coverage and Corrective Formulations.

Bi-Monthly in salon training at the MSS training center in Riverside, Illinois. Education provided by MSS team members. Morning sessions covered will include basic color theory, and formulation using Chromastics. This is free to MSS partner accounts. Afternoon sessions will include haircutting techniques. MSS partner accounts will receive a discount and C. E. hours will be available.
